Why us?

Knights Academy offers children a fun, active, and structured environment where they learn through movement, challenge, and teamwork.

Using soft, padded training equipment, children take part in supervised sword fighting games, duels, and team challenges inspired by medieval combat — all delivered in a safe, controlled, and age-appropriate way.

While the sessions are energetic and exciting, the focus is not uncontrolled fighting. Everything is built around discipline, respect, and personal growth.

Michal - our Knight

"I run structured soft-kit sword fighting sessions for children, combining physical activity with historical context and clear safety standards. In 2022, I placed first at the Green Dragon Tournament. For the past three years, I have delivered medieval history and combat workshops at Wymondham Abbey, working in cooperation with Wymondham College. My sessions focus on discipline, coordination, confidence, and teamwork—using historically inspired techniques adapted specifically for children and delivered with safety as the top priority."

Knightly values at the heart of the club

Each session is guided by traditional knightly values, translated into practical behaviours children can understand and practise.
Values are not lectured — they are reinforced through activity, structure, and clear expectations. Some sessions involve friendly competition or duels, but the emphasis is always on fair play, self-development, and learning from both success and defeat.

Winning is celebrated — but how a child wins matters more than winning itself.

Respect & Responsibility

Children learn to play fairly, follow rules, and take responsibility for their actions. They are trusted with equipment and physical challenges, which builds maturity, reliability, and awareness of others. Victory never comes before respect.

Self-control & Discipline

Sword training requires listening, restraint, and calm decision-making.
Children discover that true strength comes from control, not aggression.
Focus and structured repetition build discipline that transfers beyond the club.

Courage & Confidence

Children are encouraged to try, to fail safely, and to improve without fear of embarrassment. They build real confidence through achievement, not praise alone. Winning is celebrated — but how a child wins matters more.

Teamwork & Healthy Challenge

Sessions include guided sparring, games, and friendly competition. Children develop communication skills, emotional regulation, coordination, and physical fitness — in a safe and structured environment.

We also offer sessions for groups in schools and other institutions, as well as children's parties.
